Many people use a fridge filter for their drinking water and that doesn’t even touch contaminates, nor does it make water living. Water runs through some loose carbon, often even leaving little bits in your glass. That can be loaded with heavy metals and other contaminates.
Aqua Tru uses a 4 part system water filtration system to give you some of the cleanest water I have ever experienced! Now, if clean water was enough, I would stop there. Sadly it is not. Water retains memory. From a cellular standpoint our body will still be reacting to the memory of that water. Not only that, the water is dead. Spring water is oxygenated and loaded with minerals from running over rocks and creating double vortexes. That process erases the memory of the water and returns it to the living state where your body can absorb and use up to 80% of the water as opposed to the 20% it may be able to use and retain from dead, clean water. I have a third water filter in my kitchen that I had installed because its on demand filtered water unlike RO or Distilled that requires time to filter and can run out. It is a carbon block filter and is rated #1 year after year on the NSF website. This filter DOES leave minerals behind so if you have hard water is is NOT a good choice for you, It also does NOT remove Fluoride so it is not a good choice if you have fluoridated water. I use it primarily for hand and produce washing. I have the aqua preform and I have the installed version. They also make a counter top option for renters.
I now only use Quinton Isotonic minerals because CT minerals have been discontinued. I use 1tsp per gallon of water, you not have to be perfect about minerals if you are consuming high quality salts like Jacobsen or Crucial 4 M salt (code HCL) . I have not yet decided on a whole house water filter yet because I know you still need to have filters on the drinking areas as well as shower. I have looked closely at Radiant life and Multi-pure for whole home units. Just know because the chorine is removed you may have to bypass once in a while to clean your pipes as biofilms could grow. Because you never know what is in your pipes you still need to filter drinking and shower water even with a whole house filter.
